I have been a teacher in Baltimore County since 1986. My undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education. I have a Masters Degree in Reading. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second and Third grades. In 1995, after my second child was born I worked part time as a Reading Specialist at Hillcrest Elementary. In 1998, I transferred to Catonsville Elementary. I worked as a Reading Specialist here up until 3 years ago when I returned to the classroom as a Kindergarten Teacher.
When I came to Catonsville, my oldest of four children began Kindergarten here as well. In fact, all four of my children have attended this school through 5th grade. They are now 14, 15, 17, and 18 years old. As a parent, I can honestly say that this school gave my children a solid foundation and a love of learning.
Working with children is a passion for me. The joy of watching them grow academically is such a rewarding experience. I like the challenge of discovering the best ways they learn individually.
I look forward to working with you and your child this school year. It is my goal to provide an environment for each child that fosters a love of learning for a lifetime.
